EMERGING HIGH SCHOOL LEADERS TO HOST PHOENIX COUNCILMAN
Students Studying the “Power and Drama” of Government will Listen, Debate and Learn with District 5 Council Member Daniel Valenzuela
PHOENIX – Students at an innovative west Phoenix college-prep high school will have the chance to discuss policy and talk politics directly with the man who represents them, District 5 Phoenix City Councilman Daniel Valenzuela.
Student members of Junior State of America at Glenview College Prep High School, along with their faculty advisor Ms. Lauren Fieman, invited the councilman to speak with them about his personal history, his work in the community and his current responsibilities as a councilman. Members of the media are also invited to attend.
“These students have developed an intense desire to know more about the world they live in, with a particular focus on how government works,” said Glenview school leader Giles Glithero. “They have some strong opinions and they are beyond excited at the opportunity to share those with Councilman Valenzuela.”
