Tutoring
Before and after school, every day — and mandatory when grades slip below a “C”.
Mandatory Tutoring & Workshop Policy
Students whose grades fall below the “C” level will be required to stay for mandatory after-school tutoring — in any course. Students meeting the criterion are placed on a Tutoring Contract by their teacher, and must attend tutorials until their grade is back to the C level. Workshops and tutoring may also be assigned for skill support, or to become academically eligible for clubs, activities or athletics.
Tutoring Availability
Tutoring is available to any GCP student before and after school each day — teachers are always available from 7:30 am until the start of school and after school until 3:30 pm. Schedule appointments in advance to be respectful of their time; teachers will gladly stay later or arrive earlier if a student arranges a special time individually.
